Booking
Confirmation
Whilst email and written
enquiries are all welcome, all bookings must be secured via telephone with a
valid (that is valid beyond the date of your arrival) debit/credit card number
and payment of a non-refundable deposit of £20 per room booked, per booking
which will be charged to your card
Booking
Security
Your card details are
stored securely until your arrival. When you settle your bill, you
can pay by cash or by credit/debit card (this need not be the same card given
as security). We do not accept cheques for
final payment of bills due to high bank charges and there no longer being a guarantee available on any UK cheque. Card details are
also held for security on your room and any other rooms in a party booking.
Any damage or loss caused by guests in your room or those in your party, will
be charged to the card given as security
Deposits
Standard
Deposit
For all bookings a
non-refundable deposit of £20 per room booked, per booking is required and
will be charged to your card at the time of booking.
Mull Rally
Deposit
For the Mull
Car Rally in October, where rooms are booked up to a year in advance, a deposit
of the FIRST NIGHT of accommodation
is taken, per room. This is non-refundable unless the event is cancelled
Cancellations
For individual
rooms:
Cancellations
must be made with a minimum seven days notice (that is seven days prior to your
arrival date)
Cancellations
made with less than seven days notice may result in charges of up to 100% of
the total booking cost. This amount will be charged to the credit/debit
card given as security or can be paid by you in another way, if agreed in
advance.
For Group
Bookings (more than three rooms booked)
Cancellations
must be made with a minimum 28 days notice (that is 28 days prior to your
arrival date)
Cancellations
made with less than 28 days notice will result in charges of up to 100% of the
total booking cost. This amount will be charged to the credit/debit card
given as security.
Seaplane
Guests travelling
on the seaplane should pay particular attention to our cancellation policy as
the seaplane is more open to disruption/cancellation than other means of travel
to Tobermory.
Travel Insurance
We STRONGLY
advise that ALL guests take out adequate travel insurance to cover you
in the event you have to cancel your accommodation, particularly those
travelling by the seaplane.
Check-in
Your room will
be ready from 2pm on arrival date. Please try to give an indication of
what time you might arrive however you must check into your room by 8pm on
arrival date. If you are delayed, you must please telephone the Guest
House to advise.
We aren’t able
to accept guests arriving on late ferries (any ferry departing the mainland
after 9pm). If, after booking, you notify us that for whatever reason you
are only able to travel on a late ferry, we reserve the right to cancel your
booking, charging you up to 100% of total booking cost (if within 7 days notice
of arrival). If, in rare circumstances, we agree to check you in after
sailing on later ferries, there will be an additional charge levied of £40 per
room checked in
Check-out
You must have
your room clear and bill paid by 10am on departure date.
Late departure
could result in additional charges.
Luggage
We are more
than happy, where it is possible, to store luggage either before check-in time or after you have
checked-out on your departure day, if you do not have transport where you can
store your luggage until such time as you leave Tobermory.
Important to note:
Pets are not allowed
to stay at Harbour Guest House
Smoking is not
permitted anywhere on the premises of Harbour Guest House in accordance with
the law. Guests found smoking on our premises are asked to leave immediately
but charged the full cost of the booked accommodation. Further penalty charges
may also apply to cover our inconvenience and cleaning costs
