Directions...

For those travelling on the Lochaline-Fishnish OR Oban-Craignure ferry:

Upon leaving either the Fishnish road OR the Craignure ferry terminal, turn right to join the main road.  Continue on that road until you see the sign for Tobermory (it is approx 22 miles from Craignure and 15 miles from Fishnish).  You will pass through the village of Salen along the way.  Once past the Tobermory signpost, continue straight ahead until you reach a mini roundabout.  Here, turn right, signposted Main Street.   Once at the bottom of the hill, Harbour Guest House is the first Guest House on the left hand side, between the Scottish Hydro Electricity Shop and Tobermory Chocolate Shop.  We are painted a bright green colour!

For those travelling on the Kilchoan-Tobermory ferry:

Upon leaving the ferry you will be on Main Street.  Drive the full length of the street as we are the last Guest House on the right-hand side, sandwiched between the Tobermory Chocolate Shop and Scottish Hydro Electricity Shop.  We are painted a bright green colour!

Please note that the roads on the Island are mostly single track .  Care must be taken when driving and you MUST use the passing places on the left hand side of the road to allow those behind you, wishing to overtake, to do so and allow oncoming traffic to pass by on your right, as well. Cars travelling uphill on single track generally have right of way. Please also remember these passing places are just that  - to pass through - they are NOT parking spaces and you could well hold up a stream of traffic or create a hazard if you attempt to use one as such!

For those travelling on the bus:

Buses travelling to Tobermory take approximately 45-50 minutes from Craignure.  Most pick up from Fishnish as well.  They pass through the village of Salen along the way before arriving in Tobermory.  Most of the buses will do a tour of the upper part of Tobermory before turning round and heading back the way you came before turning left down towards the Main Street. At the bottom of the street, the bus will turn right into Ledaig Car Park.  This is the last stop so alight here and walk back towards the car park entrance, turning right onto the Main Street. We are the first Guest House on the left hand side, between the Scottish Hydro Electricity Shop and Tobermory Chocolate Shop, painted a bright green colour!

The ferry and bus services vary throughout the year and the timetables can be found at www.calmac.co.uk (ferries) and www.bowmanstours.co.uk (buses)
